Position Summary: The Victim Navigator plays a vital role within the Rhode Island Resiliency Center, supporting victims, survivors, and families impacted by mass violence. This position helps individuals understand, navigate, and access available resources by providing compassionate case management, advocacy, and linkage to trauma-informed services. The Victim Navigator works collaboratively with community partners to ensure coordinated care, enhance community outreach, and strengthen overall resiliency efforts across Rhode Island.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or several years experience in the field of victim services.
  • Experience working with victim service agencies or community-based programs; strong knowledge of Rhode Island community resources and systems of care.
  • Experience providing crisis intervention and/or Psychological First Aid (PFA) strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records and other case management or data systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills required.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexible schedule, with occasional evenings required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred; bilingual staff receive additional compensation.
  • Bilingual/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.
  • Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay.


Physical Requirements: This position requires community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to:

  • Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, registration and auto insurance
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Travel to and from clients’ residence, community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs
  • Must be able to work remotely and in person adhering to PHI requirements
