Responsibilities

Brightstar is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, self-starting individual to support its Corporate Secretary and Subsidiary Maintenance teams within the Legal Department. This position will be based in Providence, Rhode Island and will report to the Assistant General Counsel - Securities & Governance and to the Vice President, Corporate Development, Treasury and Real Estate. The ideal candidate will (i) assist in the preparation of Board, Committee and Annual General meetings and ensure the completion of any follow-up actions; (ii) assist with the enforcement of the Company’s securities trading policy; (iii) assist with NYSE and SEC filings and submissions; and (iv) form, register and maintain records of subsidiaries and branches (including preparing annual reports, consents, resolutions and powers of attorney).

Required Qualifications:  

  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams, Adobe Acrobat Pro and CTAdvantage/hCue
  • Excellent planning, project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently with heavy attention to detail
  • Ability to work quickly and collaboratively under tight deadlines
  • Excellent team player with the ability to be flexible when priorities change
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and other sensitive information

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Law firm and/or previous in-house legal department experience
  • Paralegal Certificate
  • Familiar with Microsoft Access and SAP
  • Ability and desire to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $55,631 - $98,467. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
